The Unisphere is essentially the Commonwealth's version of the internet. Whilst Cyberspheres represent planetary networks, the Unisphere encompasses all these networks. Utilising the wormhole network, the Unisphere essentially connects all the planetary cyberspheres together via radio/wireless technology. The Unisphere even functions when wormholes are reduced to a zero diameter state in emergencies. The S.I. (Sentient Intelligence) also utilises the Unisphere to great affect moving parts of itself into planetary networks quickly and efficiently. Its early origins are mentioned in the book Misspent Youth where Jeff Baker helps develop the data crystal and datasphere, which are obviously early versions of the technology prevalent in the Commonwealth era.
