Sanar and Ryelle are identical twin Clayr, who are rarely, if ever, seen apart. Their Sight is especially strong, though they did not Awaken until they were sixteen years old. They are also (Ryelle in particular) skilled Paperwing pilots. The twins appear in all three Old Kingdom novels. At the second binding of Orannis, the twins stood for Mosrael.
