The Galápagos Islands were a group of islands in Earth's Pacific Ocean. These islands were visited by Charles Darwin in the 19th century. The discoveries he made about their finches were the keystone of Darwin's theory of evolution. This visit was compared to A.E. Hodgkin's visit to Loracus Prime in the Handbook of Exobiology, studied by Elizabeth Cutler in 2151. (ENT: "Strange New World") The ship Darwin travelled with to those islands was the HMS Beagle.
