Raw fruitarianism is a derivative of raw veganism in which only raw, uncooked fruits (and, in some cases, nuts, grains and fruit vegetables) are consumed. The rationalizations for raw fruitarianism are mostly the same as the rationalizations for raw veganism, but tend to be even more spiritually-bent. As fruits tend to usually be served on a cold or uncooked basis in even non-vegan diets (hence the serving of fruits as desserts or snacks rather than main course meal components), raw fruitarianism enjoys a perception as being the de-facto (and most often promoted) form of fruitarianism.
