The Charles XI was a French ship named for King Charles XI. In 1936, Anne Colleton returned to the Confederate States from her trip to France as a special envoy, where she had been discussing cooperation between King Charles and the Action Francaise and Confederate President Jake Featherston and the Freedom Party against the Central Powers.
