Gwen Taylor (born 19th February 1939 in Derby) appeared on Coronation Street between September 2011 and March 2012 as Anne Foster, mother of businessman Frank Foster. She is best known for her numerous comedy roles on television, most notably in Barbara, Duty Free, Conjugal Rites and A Bit of a Do. Prior to her Street role, she completed four years as Peggy Armstrong in Heartbeat. Her film credits include Life of Brian.
