Gordius was prince of Lathia. He was betrothed to Princess Melissa of Alcinea in a bid to unite the two kingdoms in peace. When Melissa's younger sister Alexa briefly usurped the Alcinean throne and began a war against Lathia, Gordius fought with his men against her. Having defeated Alexa with the help of Hercules and Iolaus, Gordius and Melissa wed.
