Big Metal Unit is a full plate mail that can be created by bringing the Golden Pantaloons, Silver Pantaloons and Bronze Pantalettes to Kerrick the Smith who resides in Arcana Archives in Amkethran. This armor suit may be the hardest item to obtain in game as it requires players to first import the Golden Pantaloons from BG1, then trace the easy-to-miss Silver Pantaloons, and wait for the second-end chapter before the finale of the entire saga to finally craft it, but it offers an astonishing basic armor class of -10 plus the further AC bonus of common types and magic resistance. It requires a Strength of 15, but it can be worn by all classes, though it still prevents arcane castings and thieving skills.
