She was the one who recommend to her spouse that her best friend, struggling actor at the time, Michael Chiklis be allowed to audition for the lead role on the show. Mrs. Ryan later guest-starred on her spouse's show The Unit as well as other FX Network shows such as Justified (with series regulars Natalie Zea and Walton Goggins).
