A special room in Queen Azura's Power House on the planet Mars. Although it uses considerable power, it has an assortment of sparks and rays which can break down the toughest materials. Ming the Merciless twice attempts to use this room's power to murder Flash Gordon, but fails. Ultimately Ming himself has the disintegrator turned on him by his own assistant Tarnak. Flash Gordon believed Ming to have been killed by this assault, but Ming survived and was to subsequently return to his own planet of Mongo. The Disintegrating Room is overlooked by a skylight.
