The Proving Grounds Match is a match concept created originally by Era Of Wrestling. The Proving Grounds match is the equivalent to modern day wrestlings "#1 contenders match" and matches are ran the same, also. Proving Grounds Matches work in different variations (E.G: Singles match, Tag Team Match, Triple Threat Match, Fatal Four Way match, etc.) but all have the same prize towards the winner; the #1 contenders status for the championship advertised for the match at a determined date and place.
