Classic Mode returns from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, acting the exact same way. Players pick a character and then go through a barrage of fights. The matches feature Bonus Stages as well as Giant, Metal, Team or Normal battles which appear randomly. Each stage appears in a certain order. When completing Classic Mode with a certain character, the player receives that character's Trophy.
