The 1951-01 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Daytona Beach Road Course on February 11, 1951. It was the season opener. Tim Flock led the first 27 laps, but it was Marshall Teague leading the last 12 in route to his first career victory, holding off Flock by 1 minute and fourteen seconds.
