"The Mother Bloodoak" was the term given to any Bloodoak tree by the Termagant Trogs. Unlike the other trees like Dew-Willows and Wintertrees that provided light or Yellow-Sapwoods and Sweet-Lullabees that nourished them and thus also "cared" for the Trogs, the Bloodoak was considered holy. It bled for the termagant girls that came of a certain age and would cause them to swell to thrice their size, losing their hair, good looks and pleasant nature, and gaining aggression, physical strength and vast quantities of testosterone.
