Director Toban Soams was the leader of the Haven colony in the Vesuvi system. In 2378, the Vesuvi star exploded, the colony took damage and suffered casualties. While the planet itself wasn't destroyed (like the inner four worlds), the orbital Haven Facility was knocked offline and stellar debris settled into orbit, blocking supply ships from transferring their cargo.
