Blue terrapins (Q. "luinikrúmori"; sing. "luinikrúmor") were only found in thickets or very dense, overgrown swamp areas. Their native home was Fangorn Forest. Small, their shells averaged 18" across, but they had a 12" neck. Thus, a blue terrapin could strike like a snake, delivering a muscle poison that can paralyzed a small mammal (up to 40 lbs). If it bit, it would paralyze the area or limb it penetrated, partially paralyzing one adjacent area. The poison wore off in 3 hours.
