Patriarch Nilus of Constantinople was Ecumenical Patriarch between years 1380 and 1388. He was an itellectual and struggled for the faithful maintenance of the ecclesiastical rules. He acted for the pacification between John V and his son Andronicus IV of the Palaiologos. He wrote many works and during his Patriarchy published many synodical acts.
