Banshee Squadron was a TIE/ln space superiority starfighter squadron serving in the starfleet of the Galactic Empire. In the immediate aftermath of the destruction of Alderaan, the Banshees were attached to the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Solar Storm. A that time, the squadron flew in the Battle of Phindar, during which they lost two pilots. Immediately after debriefing, Bruiser, Heiwei Akrone, and two other Banshees attended the Zero Angle, the cantina of the Bright Jewel Oversector Flight Base. They were still in the cantina, discussing with the members of Nashtah Squadron, when Wing Commander Weller announced that the Death Star battle station had been destroyed, and that all current Army and Navy affiliations were rescinded.
