Kate Duffin (1939/1940 - 28 September 2002) was the mother of Lisa "Duffy" Duffin. In 1990 she looked after her grandson Peter whilst Duffy's work life was proving too difficult with a child too. In September 2002, she was admitted to the ED with cancer and died after informing Charlie that she didn't want to be resuscitated.
