In Beyond the Kingdoms, the Masked Man uses the portal potion to go inside works of literature to recruit an army of villains. Known 'recruits' are: * Captain Hook * Captain Hook's Pirates * The Queen of Hearts * The Queen of Heart's Playing Card Army * The Wicked Witch of the West * The Flying Monkeys * The Winkies * A mythological creature that turned the Fairy Council to stone with a look; possibly a Gorgon (Medusa?) or a Baselisk.
