Jrav Malex was the final don of the criminal Malex family that had endured as rivals of the Black Sun since it rose to prominence under Alexei Malex. He served as a Republic naval commander in the Clone Wars and was appointed governor of Etzo Thokos by the Galactic Empire after the war. When the New Republic took over Etzo Thokos, he fled into the Imperial controlled Deep Core and settled on Byss.
