Dalron Five was devastated during the long Siege of Dalron Five, in which the Galactic Empire used strategies first devised by Jan Dodonna. The planet's inhabitants, who were mainly of Human descent, fled the world and were discovered by the Imperial scout Lak Sivrak. Despite keeping his promise not to reveal their location, his Imperial superiors managed to track down the refugees and catch them. The disaster provoked Dodonna to harden his commitment to the Rebellion.
