King Tyndareus was married to Queen Leda. He asked Ares for help when his daughter wanted to marry a man he felt was beneath her. Ares offered Tyndareus an arsenal of weapons forged by Hephaestus with which he could take on an entire kingdom. Tyndareus changed his mind about working with Ares when Hercules and Iolaus convinced him he should be happy that his daughter was in love.
