Keeper of the Hall was a title used at Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry from it's founding until 1846. The holder of the title was responsible for the upkeep and maintainence of the school facilities. In 1846, the title of Keeper of the Hall was abolished, and the duties associated with it were given to the newly formed position of Caretaker.
