A disarming technique, Hand-Over-Wrist first deflects an opponent attacking with a handheld weapon by pushing their hand away with an open palm. Then, the user grabs the attacker's wrist with their free hand and painfully twists the attacker's arm in a deceptively fast and harsh manner. If successful, the technique can quickly disarm a target, leaving them wide open for a counterattack.
