Falksi participated in the destruction of Outbound Flight and later accompanied Thrawn to his voluntary exile. After being found by the Galactic Empire, he became an advisor to then-Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, and later followed him to his Unknown Regions expedition. However, Thrawn ordered him to return to the Chiss Ascendancy in order to make it join the Empire. Falksi was hindered by Chiss traditions, as he had to wait three years before getting a formal rank in any Chiss organization. After this time passed, he was subjected to combat simulations and analysis. The results were good enough for the CEDF to accept him into its ranks as a commander.
