He could choose to adapt physically, and would then adapt limitedly to all situations or circumstances, or he could enable himself to adapt to a particular environment. He could also choose to adapt mentally or emotionally, or he could adapt his abilities to various manipulations. However, once he selects an adaptation, this is the adaptation he will possess for the next 24 hours.
