General José Olivaro (1805-1899) was the liberator who led the nation of San Theodoros to its independence during the nineteenth century. His memorial statue is located in the city of Los Dopicos. The statue's head was blown off once during an assassination attempt on General Alcazar by Corporal Diaz which a bomb went off.
