Ishia Bennison (born 11th August 1949 in Hull) is an English actress appeared on Coronation Street in February 2000 as Freshco customer/masseuse Mrs Mawdsley. Onscreen credits include roles in A Family at War, The Awakening, The Chinese Detective, Bergerac, Bread, EastEnders, At Home with the Braithwaites, Emmerdale, Last Tango in Halifax and Happy Valley. As a veteran stage actress she has appeared in productions of Measure for Measure, The Tragedy of Cymbeline and numerous other Shakespearean roles with the company Northern Broadsides.
