The Ibanez Power (P) series is a series of electric guitars produced by Hoshino Gakki, introduced in 1987. The first Power models were introduced as part of the Roadstar Pro series also including the Radius and Saber models. Althrough the Power series was only in production for five years, two distinctive body shapes were created. The first one, mainly used for the 540P, was more alike its Radius and Saber siblings. In 1988, a new 'reverse style' shape was introduced for the 540PⅡ-HH and 540PⅡ-SH models. More reverse models were issued as the 540PHH and 540PSH in 1989.
