Zula Kai was a human female Jedi Master who served the Galactic Republic. Gaining the title of Jedi General, she fought during the Clone Wars as the commander of the 38th Heavy Armor unit of clone engineers and their vehicles. Despite being a good tactician and leader, Zula did not like how clone troopers were simply bred to die and were considered expendable. She made the effort of making herself known to the troops of the 38th during the war against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, such as CS-7934. The 38th was dispatched to Coruscant prior to Order 66 with the 501st Legion, in preparation for Operation Knightfall. She was alone because of that when it came, and escaped in exile on Antamont. Zula later joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic, but was killed during an operation
