Disruptor torpedoes were torpedoes which carried a powerful ion capacitor that discharged on impact, similar to an ion bomb. The energy produced by a single torpedo impact could completely disable a freighter sized vessel, or disable systems near the impact zone when targeting at capital ships. These torpedoes were commonly used by the I4 Ionizer starfighter.
