The English Republican Army is one of the two main branches of the English Armed Forces (EAF), the other being the English Naval Service (ENS). The English Republican Army was formed in 1953 by pro-American, anti-Socialist guerrillas in southern England and is credited with helping form the English Republic and defeating the English Worker's Army. While the ERA is mainly the land warfare component of the EAF, the English Republican Army Air Corps (ERAAC), the English Air Force, technically remains part of the ERA despite suggestions to decouple it into its own service.
