The World Security Institute (WSI) was an American think tank, in existence 1972-2012, committed to independent research and journalism on global affairs. Based in Washington, DC, it emerged from the Center for Defense Information, which now exists in a research capacity as a component of the larger organization. The Institute's president was Bruce G. Blair, a nuclear weapons analyst and scholar formerly with the Brookings Institution. More information on the Wikipedia page [1]
