Carinae-2179 was a planetary system within the NGC 3576 Nebula, in close proximity to the Eta Carinae Nebula. The sixth planet, formally known as Carinae-2179f, was a habitable world and colonized by the UNSC in 2553 and known as the colony world of Beryl.
