During his school years, he became close friends with some of his fellow Slytherins including Harry Potter, Blaise Zabini, Sirius Snape, Daphne Greengrass, and Mafalda Prewett. When his cousins Flora and Hestia Carrow began attending Hogwarts, he took it upon himself to see to their well being, fulfilling his "big brother" role throughout his years at the school. Throughout his school years, he aided Harry Potter in his quest to unite the school and promote inter-house relations, and as such, was drawn into the feud against those who resisted change, including some of the more supremacist Slytherins. Draco captained the Daring Dragons multi-house Quidditch team and played as Seeker.
