Meklak was an Orag (Har." Maiarinde") ,a son of Telmorng the fire Devam.In the First Age and early Second Age he rose to power in Near-Harad and later Núrn until he was slain by the Númenórean Explorer Baian of Syntar. Meklak's fall led to the first rising of the early Haruzani and ironically enabled Sauron's effort to incorporate most of the Harad into his dark realm.
