In 2008, the show celebrated its 40th year. The show was started by local farmer and collector, Richard Parrot. Richard Parrot owns many traction engines, rollers and agricultural engines, including the oldest known working traction engine in the UK called Century (Burrell Number 748) made in 1877. The first show took place in 1968 and continues to present day. The show has decreased in size since 2008/9. (Note: Any additional information on the history of the event would be helpful!
