She was the daughter of a former member of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood who originally hailed from the Milky Way Galaxy. Tarn Erin's mother was originally a political refugee from the Milky Way Imperium who disagreed with it's prohibition on artificial intelligence for computers and droids. Nevertheless, Tarn Erin caught the eye of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, who made Tarn a political advisor.
