Yesterday's elections have seen the left take a firm majority of 76 in the first elections to the Federal People's Assembly, with four of five provincial assemblies returning leftist majorities, the exception being Dirlana, and leftist Toby Phillips (LPP) becoming the First Citizen of Kirlawa. Neil Blunson, who is expected to become Prime Minister, told the Chronicle, "We're delighted and dismayed - dismayed that the anti-democrats still hold such fervent support from so many Kirlawans but delighted that in the end democracy has won.".
