Salient's battle group was the fleet that defended the autonomous Salient system. By 18 BBY, the flotilla was made up of over twenty older-generation capital ships, including at least four cruisers, retrofitted with Separatist weaponry. The battle group notably fought the Galactic Empire when it invaded the star system. Its operations, bolstered by Saw Gerrera's Partisans as well as mercenaries from the rest of the Corporate Sector, were directed by Salient Strategic Command.
