9nine is an all female group who perform the opening theme to the Ranma ½: Live Action Special, Chikutaku☆2NITE. The group originally consisted of nine members (hence the name "9nine") but was reduced to five in 2009 and two members were changed in September 2010. The opening for the live action special is also the first time the group has performed an opening for a live action show since the most recent change in members. The group has previously done the opening "Shining☆Star" for the anime series Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto.
