Mukesh was an employee of the Anti Terrorist Unit during Day 1. On the morning of Day 1, Nikita Rai ordered Mukesh to go to the Bohri Family School in Mahim and pick up Rahul Pastakhia, Jiah's son. He did so and led the boy into the ATU office, where he was greeted by Nikita. Mukesh had him sit at a desk to do his work, where he could be seen by Jiah from her cell.
