A mithril grapple is rewarded at the end of Dimension of Disaster: Shield of Arrav. It is identical to the mithril grapple outside of the dimension of disaster, but cannot be taken outside. It is used in Dimension of Disaster: Curse of Arrav, along with the mithril crossbow, to get through Zemouregal's traps.
