A personal chart (also known as a natal chart or a birth chart) was a circular chart, showing the relative positions of the planets at the time of an individual's birth, which was used in astrology. The creation of one was a time-consuming process, involving the consultation of timetables, as well as the calculation of angles. Once completed, it could be combined with data on upcoming planetary movements to create a horoscope, a personal forecast.
