Earthwatcher Waveguards are a type of water elemental affiliated with the Earthen Ring. Players will typically first encounter them while taking part in the battle within Damplight Chamber during the Shimmering Expanse quest Backed Into a Corner. They do, however, also spawn when players enter a quest hub of the opposing faction while in Vashj'ir. During those times they are hostile and will attack, acting as guards.
