The Tail of Emily Windsnap is the first book in the Emily Windsnap series. It's about a girl named Emily who discovers she is a mermaid. She discovered she was a mermaid when she went swimming in the ocean. When she is going out at night for a swim she sees a mermaid as well, purched on a rock singing. When Emily let's her know she's there, the mermaid swims off. Emily swims after her and shows her she is a mermaid as well. Her new friend's name is Shona. Emily is going through a lot of things, and most of it involves her wondering where her dad is. When Shona trys to help, it turns into a big disaster.
