Defensively, Homunculus is very strong: it boasts the best chance to block for Necromancers out of all shields and Shrunken Heads, as well as a boost to all Resistances which is useful in Nightmare and Hell difficulties. Useful for a Necromancer's caster nature, it also boosts Mana and Mana regeneration. Although Bonemancers and Summonmancers would probably find a more specific Shrunken Head more useful, Homunculus does boast the best bonus towards Curses. However, most Necromancers can get by with only one point in each Curse anyway, so it may be redundant.
