Lake Speed led 178 of the 367 laps in route to a surpising 18.8-second victory on Alan Kulwicki, Speed's only career triumph. With his 11th place finish, Dale Earnhardt claimed the points lead, holding off Neil Bonnett (19th) by twenty markers. Stats
