The Channel Awesome Wikia was created on October 25th, 2008 by Laura aka Spike's Girl and a small group of TGWTG.com's bloggers. The wiki was created due to the fact there was no decent wiki at the time that was dedicated to Doug and the rest of the site. So, Laura created one. Over time, the wiki got recognition from Channel Awesome CEO, Mike Michaud and eventually staff members from the site began helping the wikia. Film Brain, Coldguy and other members of the team helped the wiki to grow as more articles were created. Doug was also impressed by the pages and provided the wiki with helpful information. As new staff and shows were added, the wiki also grew along with the site. Michaud even placed links to the wiki below every video, right next to the Channel Awesome Twitter account.
